Rajkalp Mudranalaya Pvt. Ltd. enjoys the reputation of being a front runner commercial printer operating in Gujarat. RMPL is equipped with the state of the art equipment in print production and have always been keen to keep up-to-date with technological advances. It started operations in 1948 by Shri Maneklal D. Patel, Rajkalp is one the few printing houses in Ahmedabad with a background of more than 60 years in the industry. 

In 2008, we relocated at Lapkaman village on the Dantali industrial estate road, at the outskirts of Ahmedabad city. We then became the only printing unit in Gujarat to have Kodak's Trendsetter 800 III Quantum plate setter with Prinergy Evo Powerpack workflow and a Mitsubishi Diamond 3000 LS- six-color + coater having online spectrophotometer and CIP 4 connectivity between the two. We acquired our first CTP - Lotem 400 with Brisque workflow in 2003. We were the first commercial press with in house CTP in western India.

It is a known fact that CTP is preferred over film when faster turnarounds are required. However, in our case the main requirement was control over quality. We wanted a 'closed-loop' system where we could have complete control over screening methods, dot gain, and density. It is not possible to achieve this with films as the service bureaus never take into account the dot gains and machine profile of the particular press that is going to print a job. We were not happy with 'One size fits all' kind of situation.
